As children grow they learn how to manipulate and cajole thier parents into doing certain things or giving them what they want.  Is that how we are to go to God?  Do we just need to find the right formula or methodology to get our heavenly Father to give us what we want?  Can we twist His arm somehow?

Have you ever heard the saying, “throwing the baby out with the Christmas tree?”  No, of course not, I made it up.  But I still want to know, can we clean up our Christmas and still keep the celebration?  I mean, would a less complicated faith make us happier? 

 

The Down-side to Tinsel

Christmas Traditions are fantastic ways to embed the celebration of Jesus' birth in our calendar, but is there a down side to all the habits?  Likewise, Christian tradition can hold us dearly to our Saviour through life, or become a road block to genuine intimacy with Him.

Faith and faithfulness.  What is the difference?  Why are we encouraged to have both?  How does it look in our lives?  How do we obtain faith and faithfulness?  Life is not the same without them.
